Spicy Apple Cinnamon Sorbet!

Apple cinnamon sorbet

Spice it up!

Need to cool down on a hot day?

Try this refreshing apple cinnamon sorbet. If you want to "spice it up" pour on some sweet orange syrup and serve with apple crisps.
It's as simple as that!

Ingredients:

½ vanilla bean
1¼ cup (300 ml)water
6 oz (180 grams) sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
4 apples

Scrape the seeds from the vanilla bean. Boil the water and add the vanilla seeds, the bean and the sugar. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Remove the cores from the apples and slice them into small pieces.
Transfer them to a blender (food processor) and add the cinnamon, mix for a few seconds. Pour the warm water on to the apples and mix for a few minutes.
Strain the mixture and place it in the refrigerator.

When the mixture is completely cooled, transfer to the ice cream maker and follow the instructions for your machine.

Or transfer the mixture to a suitable container and place it in the freezer.
After about 1½ hours beat the mixture with a wire whisk and return it to the freezer for another hour and repeat.
Do this every hour, 3 more times and the end result is much like the result you'd get from an ice cream maker.

Try another refreshing treat, pineapple, lemon, orange, pick a flavor and have fun!
Hope you enjoyed this apple cinnamon sorbet. Go back and get some more inspiration for your next cool dessert.
