Apple Crisps
Crunchy Addition for your Dessert!

Do you just eat apple crisps as a snack?
Have you ever tried them with a dessert?

Apple crisps

Crunch it up!

Fruit crisps are really great as an accompaniment to all kinds of desserts. I sometimes crunch them up and use them for toppings on ice cream, or I use them to decorate one of my homemade treats.

Healthy snack!

If you’re looking for something that isn’t full of sugar and fat, then you should try these crisps. Nothing added, just fruit that’s baked in the oven. The low temperature optimises the taste and prevents them from becoming dry and dreary.

Method

Peel the apple and then cut it into very thin slices with a very sharp knife. (You might want to use a slicing machine for this, I do). Place the slices on a baking sheet and bake them in the middle of the oven at 195˚F (90˚C) for about 90 minutes, until they are golden brown and crisp.

How about pear crisps instead of apple crisps?
Both healthy and they are great as a crunchy snack when you’ve got the munchies; kids love them too (I know mine do)!
