A Tempting Caramel Dessert Sauce Recipe!



Caramel Sauce

This caramel dessert sauce recipe truly is addictive, once you've tasted it you just can't get enough.

Ingredients:

6½ fl oz (200 ml) heavy (double) cream
3 oz (100 ml) sugar
3 oz (100 ml) light corn syrup
3½ oz (100 grams) butter

Combine the cream, sugar, syrup and half of the butter in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Let the mixture simmer until it thickens and becomes a brownish color. This takes about 10 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and cut the rest of the butter into smaller pieces and add to the sauce. Stir until all the butter has melted and temper.
You can store the sauce in the refrigerator, but remove before serving. Serve at room temperature.
