Crisp Bananas!

Crisp Bananas

Simple & Sweet!

Crisp bananas are really easy to make. 15 to 20 minutes from now...you could be sinking your teeth into sweet and crunchy fruit crisps.
A simple sweet to give your dessert that finishing touch, or enjoy them as a snack.

Method

Cut the ripe banana (do not peel it first) into very thin slices with a sharp knife, even better...use a slicing machine. Place the banana slices on a baking sheet and very carefully remove the peel. Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar (I use cane sugar) on to the bananas and bake them in the middle of the oven at 275˚F (140˚C) for about 15 minutes. When they are golden brown remove from the oven and fold them around a rolling pin, spoon or your fingers.

Alternative method

Grilled bananas:
Peel the banana and cut it into thin slices, place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and bake them under the oven grill until they are golden brown and crisp.
Be careful....it doesn't take very long, so keep your eye on them.

Try crisp bananas with a smooth sorbet!
