Refreshing Honeydew Melon Sorbet Recipe!

Honeydew melon sorbet

Mild melon!
This honeydew melon sorbet recipe has a noticeable honey aroma and a significant sweetness that “shines” through in this mild fruit recipe.

Delicious and refreshing, it really is perfect on a hot summers day!

Ingredients:

2 lb (1kg) melon flesh
1,5 oz (50 grams) confectioners sugar
juice from 1 lime or 1 lemon
1 egg white

Pour the lime or lemon juice into a blender or food processor, add the confectioners sugar and the melon flesh. Mix for a few minutes and then pour the mixture into the ice cream maker.
When the sorbet is semi frozen, whip the egg white and add it to the ice cream maker.
If you’re not using an ice cream maker, just pour the mixture into a suitable container and freeze for about 2 hours. Whip the egg white and blend it into the sorbet, return to the freezer for a few more hours. Then give the sorbet a good “beating” and return to the freezer.

Serve this honeydew melon sorbet recipe in frozen melon cups just like the lemon sorbet in frozen lemon shells.
It prevents the sorbet from melting too quickly and it also makes a perfect serving dish for your frozen treat.
