Fruity Pineapple Crisps!

Have you got the time?

You really should try to make time for these pineapple crisps, they are so delicious.
The only problem is that it takes 3½-4 hours to make them.

Taste Fruity!

Even though they are "baked" for several hours, they do keep their fruity taste, which I think is brilliant.
Crisp and crunchy, great for all occasions! Serve sweet crisps anytime.

Pineapple Crisps

Ingredients:

24 very thin slices of pineapple
6 fl oz (200 ml) water
10 oz (300 grams) sugar
½ tablespoon of glucose syrup

Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Cut the skin from the sides and remove the “eyes” if there are any left. Cut very thin slices of pineapple; use a very sharp knife or a slicing machine.

Bring the sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the glucose syrup and stir until completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and add the pineapple slices to the mixture. Let them “soak” for about 20 minutes.

Remove the slices and let them drip off for a few minutes. Place them on a baking sheet and bake them in the middle of the oven at 175˚F (80˚C) for 3½ to 4 hours. (They must be completely dry and crisp).
