Sweet Pineapple Syrup!

Pineapple

Sweet & Simple!

Simple pineapple syrup. All you need is some fresh pineapple, sugar and water to make this sweet syrup. "Pour" it over your dessert to "liven" it up.
Syrups are so good with homemade ice cream or a smooth sorbet. Add some to an icy granita to make it taste even better.

Too sweet!

Pineapples are naturally sweet, so if you think this syrup is too sweet... just hold back on the sugar.

Pineapple cubes Ingredients:

About 5-6 oz (150-180 grams) of pineapple
3½ oz (100 grams) sugar
3½ fl oz (100 ml) water

Cut the pineapple into very small pieces. Bring the sugar and water to a boil and add the pineapple. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes. (Until it thickens). Strain the mixture into a container and place it in the refrigerator. (It keeps for 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator).

I've used this pineapple syrup with the Pineapple Delight, and on many other treats. Enjoy this syrup with almost any dessert.
