Get that Ice Cream Scoop Filled With
Delicious Plum Ice Cream!

Plum Ice Cream

Scoop it up!

This plum ice cream recipe is quite pleasant. Get that ice cream scoop filled with a luscious and scrumptious ice cream.
Plums are very sweet and juicy and I've chosen red plums for this recipe, they give the ice cream a very deep pink coloring which I find very appealing.

Ingredients:

3 cups (750 ml) heavy (double) cream
3 cups (750 ml) plum puree
1 cup (250 ml) sugar

Method:

Peel the plums and remove the stones. Transfer the flesh to a blender or food processor, add the sugar and blend for a few minutes.
Pour the cream into the mixture and blend to a smooth mass. Transfer the mixture to your ice cream maker and follow the instructions for your machine.

Alternative method:
Whip the cream and fold the plum/sugar mixture into the cream. Transfer to a suitable container and freeze. After about 1 hour remove from the freezer and stir the mixture thoroughly. Do this approximately every hour until the mixture becomes firm.

Plum ice cream is great but why not get that ice cream scoop filled with a delicious sorbet!
A sorbet contains only about half the calories of ice cream that gives you one good reason to choose a sorbet. How about a smooth peach or a sweet raspberry sorbet!
